Ownership-based current account
The ownership-based framework of the U.S. current account is an annual supplement to the international transactions accounts. It presents current-account statistics organized with a focus on ownership relationships and introduces a balance that combines cross-border trade with net receipts resulting from the sales by affiliates of multinational companies.
